About the challenge

This hackathon challenges participants to build a real-world, scalable digital platform for Maharashtra tourism focused on outdoor and adventure experiences. The goal is to create a centralized system that simplifies how users discover, plan, and book weekend getaways. The platform should act as a booking marketplace, connecting users with trusted local operators who manage the on-ground execution, while the platform handles discovery, booking, and payments.

Participants are encouraged to think like startup founders—focusing on usability, trust, and scalability—while solving real problems in the travel and adventure ecosystem.

Requirements

What to Build

Build a full-stack, production-ready website that allows users to:

  • Discover adventure activities (trekking, camping, water sports, etc.)
  • Explore destinations across Maharashtra
  • View detailed listings with pricing, itineraries, and operator info
  • Book experiences seamlessly through the platform
  • Integrate secure payment systems
  • Enable operator-based service model (operators handle execution)

Your solution should include:

  • Clean, intuitive UI/UX
  • Mobile responsiveness
  • Fast performance
  • Backend logic for listings, bookings, and users
  • Deployment (live working website)

You may use any technology—coding, no-code, or AI tools.

What to Submit

Participants must submit:

  • Live website link (fully deployed and working)
  • Demo video (2–3 minutes) explaining features and flow
  • Project description (idea, features, tech stack, use case)
  • Source code repository (GitHub or equivalent, optional but recommended)

Your submission should clearly demonstrate:

  • Functionality and usability
  • Real-world applicability
  • End-to-end working product
